Hope sails from Boston for the Northwest and China.

Captained by Joseph Ingraham, and owned by James and Thomas Handasyd Perkins, James Magee and Russell Sturgis, the ship is subsequently sold in China. Its cargo is then loaded on the Margaret for return to Boston.
